Spanish Police Make Terror Arrest In Madrid

Sunday night Spanish police arrested a Spanish citizen of Morrocan descent in the Madrid suburb of Leganes, mentions Reuters (Spanish). The arrest was made in the same suburb where a seven-man terror cell linked to the March 11 Madrid bombings chose to blow themselves up on April 3, taking large parts of the appartment complex with them, rather than surrender to police who had the building surrounded. One special operations officer lost his life in the storming of the appartment, as a result of the explosion. The latest arrest brings to a total of 23 persons under formal charges relating to the Madrid attacks, of which 16 of Moroccan descent. The attacks left 191 people dead, and almost 2000 wounded.
